Check out this month’s CosmoGIRL! My Body and Soul column answers the questions you’ve all been asking me and I have also written a feature article on teenage pregnancy that has been picked up by the TODAY show and CNN’s Showbiz Tonight!
“My favorite aspect of Girls State was hearing Nancy Redd speak,” said Hines. “She was extremely inspirational and she encouraged us all to follow our dreams, respect ourselves and never give up. She is from Southern Virginia and attended Harvard. She also competed in the Miss America pageant. Her story made me realize that girls from small towns can go on to do big things.”
I puffy heart you too, Alix!!!
It’s been a hectic and fun few weeks- will be blogging more in the next week, I pinky swear!!
xoxoxo
Check out the June issue of Glamour magazine, y’all! On page 236, there’s a sidebar that I wrote displaying some of the accidental vulvas that I see *everywhere* and captioning the pictures, such fun! Here is my favorite sighting, check out the magazine for the others:

“Who knew the Eye of Sauron from The Lord of the Rings was a natural redhead?”
You’ll never be able to watch the movie in the same way again!
I also submitted a bunch of others that didn’t make the mag. Here’s one of the pictures/captions that they didn’t pick:

Paris: I’m soooo tired of always being the slutty one when we go out together!
Nicky: Sis, I’d love to help you out with that, but really, my vag would have to hang out of my dress all night to trump you in that department.
Paris: Done.

Also not chosen was this vagina-esque Kleenex box, available at stores nationwide! I suggest that you stock up and see if anyone notices…vulvas are everywhere, even literally right under your nose!
I’ve got tons more…I’ll post ‘em later!
Perhaps even more than when I was going on Good Morning America, I was so excited to promote Body Drama in my hometown of Martinsville, VA right when the book came out! Here’s a cute interview done with the head of the library system I grew up with on our area cable access station. It’s so cool to know that the library that I once searched in vain for a realistic body book now has Body Drama in its card catalog!
I’m talking about my experience at this weekend’s 10th anniversary of the Vagina Monologues in New Orleans! Click here to read the article! Ignore my crazy eyes and open mouth, I was star-struck…
