OMG! I cannot believe this! Body Drama has been nominated for an NAACP Image Award!

It is way cool to be in the company of Alicia Keys, Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry, and more!

Read the official announcement HERE on Variety.com! I won’t find out if I’ve won until the actual show on Feb 14th! I am SO bummed that my husband Rupak won’t get to join me at the event, as he will be spending the next two months in India filming the upcoming Disney movie Cheetah Girls III, but still, I’m stoked - YAAAY!

If you’re in NYC this Monday Jan 7th, come to the Bluestockings bookstore at 7PM for my very first Body Drama book signing!

It’s going to be a fun time, featuring:

• Me (Nancy) signing books and sharing stories from the making of Body Drama (like how the lawnmower tattoo and the underwear skidmark came to be…)
• Amazing women who were photographed for the book will be reading selections from Body Drama
• Kelly Kline, the bravest photographer in the world, will also share hilarious stories from the making of Body Drama (like how we shot the vulvas!)
• And excitingly, Honey Larochelle, backup for the Brand New Heavies, will be performing, too! She is a member of the So Live! Arts Movement, which was founded by one of the women photographed for BODY DRAMA.
